Review
Your name is Larry Laffer. A 38 year old virgin who lives with his mother. One day, you decide that you've had it with your loser ways, and it's time to get out there and get some action! The city of Lost Wages is full of hot women waiting for the right guy, so you strap on your white polyester suit and try your luck. The plot of the game is simple...score with a hot woman within 24 hours.
In 1987, Seirra released the original Leisure Suit Larry game with EGA graphics, and it was an immediate hit. This version is the in-house remake released 4 years later. Sporting the point and click interface rather than the text input, and digital sound and music to replace the bleepy old noises from the original. The new graphics also allow the blocky locations from the original to be seen as more of a cartoony atmosphere. A huge step up, especially when you get the close up shots of the women!
This game is highly enjoyable for any fans of the sierra "quest" games. It includes the standard icons like 'walk' 'look' and 'use' along with the fun but fairly useless 'taste' and 'unzip' functions as well. It's just that sort of feature that display the comically fun mood of the game. This game is FULL of cheesy sex jokes and one-liners that will make you laugh out loud. There is no nudity in it, but the innuendos are everywhere. The best part about these bad puns and gags are that from time to time the game itself will comment on the writer's bad senses of humor. To sum it up, Leisure Suit Larry is definitely worth the download if you're looking for some laughs.
