Leisure Suit Larry 2 - Looking for Love
Review
At the end of Leisure Suit Larry 1, Larry had thought he had found his true love but we now find our poor Larry kicked out of Eve's house and left on the streets of Los Angeles flat broke.
First thing to do? Search her garage and look for something to steal. Luckily Larry finds a dollar which he will go to spend on a lottery ticket, he'll win a spot on a dating game, and win a month long cruise on the U.S.S. Love Tub. Everything is great, right? He should have no trouble finding love there and with all the luck he's been having lately you just KNOW it'll wor...well you just KNOW it's gonna fall apart.
This second game is much like the first in that there are a lot of puzzles to solve, and a lot of ways to die. One interesting feature is the ability to set your own "trite phrase" which is what people will say to you from time to time, and you can change the "filth" setting of the game without having to deal with any quizzes to do it. Gameplay is the same as all other Sierra text-graphic games and you'll find yourself banging your head from time to time while you try to pick just the right word that the game is looking for to solve some puzzles, but it's pretty forgiving for the most part.
Overall this is another great chapter in the Leisure Suit Larry series. The game is longer than the first one, but you'll still play through it in about 12 hours without a walkthrough (but you're gonna need some patience and "outside the box thinking" as some of those puzzle solutions can be pretty bizarre). With a walkthrough you'll spend a good 5 hours playing it and trying to earn all 500 points and finally fall in love (again).
